world-food-2016This weekend marks the “End of Harvest” and we celebrate “World Food Day”, this will be our final Saturday market of the summer season. We then return for the WINTER MARKET in a few weeks.

Lots of family fun things happening at the market this weekend… chef Gina will be here this Saturday with her student chefs preparing seasonal food samples and then there’s also Halloween costume contest for the kiddos.  We will be handing out “mini” pumpkins and specials treats to the kiddos… as long as they last.

We are having our annual customer appreciation special… Winter Squashes… buy 2 get one free.  You can mix and match as you wish, we will have butternut, buttercup, spaghetti and acorn. Greens will be plentiful…  mustard and turnip greens, kale, spinach, brazing greens and lettuces. Kenny will have radishes, turnips, sweet potatoes, cabbage, red potatoes, peppers and more broccoli. Mutzu and Staymen Winesap apples will still be available on Saturday. Great time for pie baking and apple butter making!

Don’t forget to pick up your farm-fresh, free-range eggs at the market… come early or pre-order to make sure you get the items you need. We will have plenty of our homemade goodies available, stop by and stock up. Thanks for supporting us with your purchases.
