The days are growing shorter, the angle of the sun is waning, and school is back in session….it’s September!
This is a busy time of year at Russell Veggies, there is much work to be done as we begin to wrap up the growing season. Frost typically hits during the first week of October, and during September the name of the game is harvesting, seed saving, and prepping beds for winter.
This being said, we will be discontinuing our weekly “growers choice baskets”. Our final basket offering will be on September 24th, however we will continue to take pre-order thru our regular market days ending in October.
It’s been a great season for our baskets and we appreciate each of you that took advantage of this program. As in the past we plan on offering this service again in the spring of next year.
